The authors of these messages usually know that they can put anything into their letter, which tends to make them both very safe and very critical. The best way to handle an anonymous letter is to ignore it.
No need to overreact. You post great music, etc. and seem knowledgeable and it shocked me when you posted that Phil Lynott died last week that you didn't know he was dead for over 30 years. No threats, no damage, just surprise. you changed it to his mother. Also, Phil was Irish and so was his late mother.
